Lloyd Knox
Lloyd Knox stared writing lyrics when he was 10 years old. He soon discovered his love for music with bands like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and emcees like Nas and Common. Originally from Los angeles, CA, his family moved him out to Moreno Valley, CA to be safe following the 1992 L.A. riots. A lyricist first and foremost, he puts a lot of emphasis on his story telling abilities and structure of music. Knox picked up the drums in October of 2011 and grew substantially, not only as a writer, but as a musician and as a person.
Lloyd Knox fell in love with hip hop at the age of 10. Listening to Tupac, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. But it wasn't until he heard Nas "Nas is like" and Mos Defs "Ms. Fat Booty" that he truly became consumed by the music and the culture. Knox spent years crafting his skill to get to the level he believed he needed to get attention from big local artist. As far as drumming goes, Lloyd Knox didn't pick up the drums until October of 2011. And after only playing for a month, he stepped up to the plate and played his first show to get the band going. Not even a year later, The New danger is being recognized as an innovative and creative duo that seems to have no limits.
in 2012, Lloyd Knox saw himself growing from just an emcee/musician to being a full on drummer for other acts to launching his own successful blog called "The Empires Dungeon" and joining "The Royal Gambling Club" to further his career as an overall Hip Hop Mogul. In 2013, Knox looks to further himself as a musician/drummer/blogger and as a solo artist. Knox is getting many opportunities to perform with many top IE artists as a special guest drummer and numerous shows. The Lloyd Knox Blog is now catching attention in Texas at www.blastid.com. And The New Danger are finally releasing their first album with album title to be released Spring 2013. Lloyd Knox is now working on his first solo album called "The Rorschach Test" due to be released Late Summer 2013. This is the year of Lloyd Knox and The New Danger.
